How to place a commission order

After figuring out what kind of commission you’d like (Digital Portrait, Digital Drawing, Skateboard) and reading through the requirements, timeframes and necessary information, please reach out to me via email jrosscommissions@gmail.com or direct message on my art Instagram @jrossarts (https://www.instagram.com/jrossarts/).

Your inquiry should include:

• The type of commission (Digital Portrait, Digital Drawing/Illustration, Skateboard)
• The Size and Finish, this applies to Digital Portrait, Drawing/Illustrations only. Please see our "Sizes & Finishes" section towards the bottom of the page.
• Colors you’d like included.
• Reference pictures if necessary, please make sure they are clear. Blurry/unclear pictures will not be accepted. 
• Any other important information.

What’s included?

Digital Portraits, Drawings and Illustrations include the digital file as well as a physical copy in your choice of size and finishing. 

** Digital portraits only - Portraits will include up to two people and a background similar to the ones shown in the example pictures. An additional person can be added for $100 each per person added. 

Reference Picture 

Reference pictures for Digital Portraits are required. Please make sure they are clear. Blurry/unclear pictures will not be accepted. 

Revisions

You get one revision on line work, one revision on colors, one revision on the background. 

What’s the turnaround time?

Please allow 2- 5 weeks for your order to be created and another 1-2 weeks to be shipped from the date of completion. This time includes the creation time, revisions and getting an OK from you. To stay within the estimated timeframe, please make sure to pay attention to your email/DM, I will not order a print until the portrait, drawing/illustration is approved by you. 

Price 

Digital Portrait Commissions are $250. This includes two people within the portrait, a digital copy and a print in select finishes + sizes. Certain finishes and sizes are available at an additional cost. Please see our “Sizes & Finishes" Section of the page.

Digital drawings/Illustrations are anywhere between $150 - $2,000. The price is determined on the amount of details of the work and will be discussed before the commission is started.

Skateboards 

What’s included?

A skate deck with your commission design. Skateboards do not come with grip tape, wheels, etc… but are available at an extra cost of $100. 

Revisions

You get one revision on line work, one revision on colors, one revision on the background. Once the piece has been OK’d, it will be sent to the vendor to be created. 

What’s the turnaround time?

Please allow 1- 4 weeks for design time. Please allow another 1-3 weeks for your order to be shipped after design completion. This time includes the creation time, revisions and getting an OK from you. To stay within the estimated timeframe, please make sure to pay attention to your email/DM, I will not order a board until it is approved by you. 

Price

Skateboards are $250 + $15 for shipping.

Board Material 

All boards are made of 100% Canadian Maple.

Art or Skate?

The boards made are mainly for art purposes, ex; Wall art. However, they can be skated on.

JRoss Art is not liable for boards broken due to any skating activities or any other activities. We do not offer replacements.

Shipping  

The cost for shipping is included in your finalized commission cost with the exception of Skateboards. Shipping for skateboards is $15.

Once the order is complete, we will reach out asking for the address you’d like it shipped to. Please make sure this address is correct. JRoss Arts is not liable for incorrect addresses given.

Deposits

Deposits are only available on commissions that are priced at $300 or more. If the commission is less than $300 full payment is due upfront, no exceptions. For deposits you must pay half the commission price upfront and the other half once the piece has been completed.

How to pay 

Commissions can be paid for via PayPal or Zelle. 

Revisions

There is an allowance of 1 revision on line work, colors and backgrounds each. Requests for additional revisions will cost an additional $25 per request.
